Poison Ivy Leaves
During the summer, poison ivy leaves typically have a shiny green appearance with pointed edges and a smooth surface. The leaves grow in clusters of three, and each leaflet is around 2-4 inches long. As the plant matures, the leaves may turn slightly yellow or red, and small white or green flowers may appear. It's important to remember that poison ivy can cause a painful rash if it comes into contact with skin, so it's best to avoid touching the plant altogether.
